Earth Day might be our favorite holiday here at Wool Hat Creative, but really, every day should be Earth Day in our humble opinion. As a media production company, we are dedicated to protecting this planet we call home through stories, film and video, our photography, through our personal actions, through our choice of partnerships and clients, and more.
As you may know, Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970. Since then, it has become a global event celebrated in over 190 countries. The day serves as a reminder of the critical environmental issues we face, from climate change and deforestation to plastic pollution and wildlife conservation.
So, what better day to release our latest sizzle reel (below) featuring examples of some of our best films focused on advocacy, conservation, and sustainability?
Our New Film and Video Sizzle Reel!
Out of those films, we’d like to highlight our film Snow Rangers, a short documentary showcasing the rangers working to counter the impacts of increased winter recreation in southwest Colorado. The film follows a newly formed team of winter rangers and the efforts and tools (like the RIMS program) needed to conserve the winter backcountry. Snow Rangers was created in partnership with the Colorado Mountain Club, a fantastic organization currently seeking motivated individuals to fill their open stewardship positions.
Nothing would make us happier than to hear that our projects have inspired you to act. So, please check out Colorado Mountain Club or any of the other organizations doing good work to protect Mother Earth on our website. We provide links and descriptions to each organization in the film descriptions on the “Our Services” page on our website. Either way, we hope you’ll get out and do your part in your favorite way or with your favorite organization.
Only together, and only by getting involved more than once a year, will we solve some of these serious issues facing our lonely blue marble. It’s all we’ve got folks. Rest assured though that Wool Hat Creative is fighting for a better and brighter future here on Earth with every shot, every edit, every photo, every story. Happy Earth Day everyone!
